The PDM Client is the interface to the database. Use the following dialog to configure the main settings of the PDM Client.

Check this box to specify the path to be relative to the main directory.
Select this option to log on automatically on program start-up.
After checking this option, the next time you log on, a Remember password checkbox will appear in the log on dialog. Check it to automatically log on on program start-up.
When this box is checked, double-clicking a level or a file will show its details.
If this option is not checked and the object is a file, the double-clicking will cause the associated program to open it. Associated programs can be set in the Applications dialog.
Checking this box will automatically create a back-up of a file before it is opened.
Checking this box will automatically create a back-up of a file before it is deleted.
Select this option to start the program on full screen.
Check this box to show file name extensions in the Explorer view.
Check this box to show file type in the Explorer view.
If this option is checked, a preview of the CAD/CAM file is shown on the right side of the Database preview.
Check this option to use same login name as for Windows.
Check this box to have the PDM Explorer automatically open on start-up.
This feature needs the option Remember password to be enabled for its correct operation. Otherwise, the log on dialog will appear on program start-up.
Use this field to enter a number to limit the maximum number of search results presented in the Explorer view.
Specifies the time in minutes that the user will stay logged-in without program activity (keyboard entries or mouse movements). Zero value "0" de-activates Auto-Logoff.
Use this drop-down list to select the language that you want CIMCO PDM to use.
Use this field to define the maximum width or height in pixels of the pictures pre-viewed as associated files from levels.
Use this field to define the communication port where the barcode reader is connected to. Select Not Used if there is no barcode reader installed.
