Auto Import dialog |
Use this field to select the machine you wish to configure.
Check this field to enable auto import for the selected machine.
Check this field to update the filename.
Check this field if auto import should update the program info on existing programs.
Check this field if auto import should not overwrite programs marked as Read-Only.
Check this field if auto imported programs should be marked as read-only.
Check this field if the imported program should be placed in a sub-directory of the machine base directory, if found in a sub-directory of the import directory.
Example: If a program is found in 'Import directory'\JOHNSTOOLS\PRG1234.NC, it will be moved to 'Machine directory'\JOHNSTOOLS\PRG1234.NC.
Check this field if files in are imported through a sub-directory of the import directory, and they should be associated with the program that is stored NC-Base in a sub-directory with the same name.
Check this field if auto imported programs should be placed on the import queue.
Check this field to use the folder name as program name in ncbase.
If a sub-directory containing a program already exists in the machine base directory, the name of the program in that sub-directory will be used instead.
Check this field if auto imported programs should be unlocked.
Use this field to specify the extension(s) of programs that should be imported.
To specify multiple extensions separate them with a comma.
Using the wildcards * and ? is supported.
To allow files without extensions, specify a comma at the beginning.
Example: To import files with extensions .ISO and .NC, specify: ISO,NC
Example: To import files where the first letter of the extension is N, specify: N*
Example: To allow all files without an extension, or with the extension NC, specify: ,NC
Use this field to specify a new extension for imported programs.
Example: If you place program files in this directory with the extension .ISO, but wish to insert the file in the database with the extension .NC, you should specify .NC in this field.
Use this field to specify the auto import directory for the selected machine.
Use this field to specify the extension of memo files that should be inserted into the database.
The filename must be the program name with the specified extension.
Example: To add a memo file to the program 123-4567, the filename must be '123-4567.TXT' if you have specified 'TXT' in this field.
If there are multiple programs for this machine, with the program name 123-4567, the file will be added to all of them.
To specify multiple extensions separate them with a comma.
Using the wildcards * and ? is supported.
To allow files without extensions, specify a comma at the beginning.
Example: To add files with extensions .TXT and .MEM, specify: TXT,MEM
Example: To add files where the first letter of the extension is T, specify: T*
Example: To allow all files without an extension, or with the extension TXT, specify: ,TXT
To import a file matching a suffix specify _SUFFIX.EXT
Use this field to specify the extension of tool files that should be inserted into the database.
The filename must be the program name with the specified extension.
Example: To add a tool file to the program 123-4567, the filename must be '123-4567.TOL' if you have specified 'TOL' in this field.
If there are multiple programs for this machine, with the program name 123-4567, the file will be added to all of them.
To specify multiple extensions separate them with a comma.
Using the wildcards * and ? is supported.

Example: To allow all files without an extension, or with the extension TOL, specify: ,TOL
To import a file matching a suffix specify _SUFFIX.EXT
Use this field to specify the extension of setup files that should be inserted into the database.
The filename must be the program name with the specified extension.
Example: To add a setup file to the program 123-4567, the filename must be '123-4567.SET' if you have specified 'SET' in this field.
If there are multiple programs for this machine, with the program name 123-4567, the file will be added to all of them.
To specify multiple extensions separate them with a comma.
Using the wildcards * and ? is supported.
To allow files without extensions, specify a comma at the beginning.

To import a file matching a suffix specify _SUFFIX.EXT
Use this field to specify the extension of other files that should be inserted into the database.
The filename must be the program name with the specified extension.
Example: To add a file to the program 123-4567, the filename must be '123-4567.TXT' if you have specified 'TXT' in this field.

To import a file matching a suffix specify _SUFFIX.EXT
Use this field to specify the program name prefix length used to match other associated files.
Example: If you specify 4 in this field and import a program called 1234.NC then all files where the first 4 characters match the program name will be associated to the program.
Check this field if auto-import should check if all fields marked as required must be specified in the imported program.
If one or more fields are missing and file called 'Filename'.Error is created in the auto-import directory containing a list of the missing fields.
Check this field to send an e-mail if one or more required fields are missing from an program or if the program is read-only.
![]() | The e-mail address of the recipient(s) is specified on the previous page. |
Check this field to rename the associated files using the name of the main program.
Example: If receiving the main program 100.PBF and the associated files TOOLDATA.DBD, then the server will rename the tool data to 100-DATA-TOOLDATA.DBD. When sending the main program back to the CNC later, the program name prefix is automatically removed from the associated files.
Specify an extension for file that will be created (if does not exist in ncbase) using folder name.
All other files will be associated to the created file as sub-programs.
Use this field to specify how long DNC-Max should wait for the associated files after receiving the main program. If the control saves the associated files at the same time as the main program you can specify a low value like 3 secs here, but if the operator has to manually copy each associated file you will need to specify a value that is high enough so the operator has time to copy all files.
